How To Get There

Flights between Hoedspruit and Johannesburg, Cape Town

From the South on the R 40

On the R40 from Bushbuckridge

  • Continue through Acornhoek towards Klaserie (do not turn at Acornhoek)
  • Continue for about 7.4 km and turn right onto R40 Phalaborwa, Eastgate Airport
  • Drive 1km and take the Guernsey turnoff on your right. Through the security gate and travel for 7.3km on Tar Road and a further 3.9km on dirt road 
  • Turn right at the T-Junction (brown Thornybush sign)
  • Continue a further 6,3 km to Waterbuck Gate on left

From the North on the R 40

  • At Hoedspruit take the R 40 south towards Bushbuckridge
  • Continue 22 km and turn left at the Guernsey Road turnoff
  • Through the security gate and travel for 7.3km on Tar Road and a further 3.9km on dirt road
  • Turn Right at the T-Junction and travel another 6.3 km to The Thornybush Private Nature Reserve Waterbuck Gate on your left
